Stephen Leon Flentie, age 45, passed away on April 8th, 2024, in Denver, CO. Born to Larry and Sharon (Houk) Flentie on May 17, 1978, in Athens, GA. After living in Georgia, New Jersey, Illinois, Virgina and Arizona, Stephen moved to Fort Collins, Colorado with his parents and called the state home for the last 32 years. Stephen graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 1996.
Stephen was a very talented singer and was very active in the choir at Rocky Mountain HS with whom he had the opportunity to go to Italy, the trip of a lifetime. Stephen always enjoyed spending time with family, his many dear friends, and his beloved cat of 17 years, Tofutti. Stephen had a passion for music. He loved to shoot pool, play darts, create art, and play cards as well as love on and tease his siblings, nieces and nephews. Stephen could make everyone laugh. He gave the best hugs and always had the best jokes. His laugh was contagious, and his extremely compassionate heart was BIG. He was a giver and always wanted to make others smile. Stephen brought so much joy to those around him. His heart was always for others, and he loved others well. Stephen enjoyed his work and everyone he worked with.
Stephen is survived by his parents, Larry and Sharon Flentie of Loveland, CO. His brother Shannon (Colleen) Flentie of Erie, CO. His sisters, Sherri (Mike) Elder of Greeley, CO and Sonya (Rick) Connell of Windsor, CO. He is also survived by his nephews; Caden, Tristin, Tanner and nieces, Maeve, Teagan, Dakota and Skye.
